Service life of color coated steel plate

Due to the different use and use environment conditions of color coated steel plate, there are many factors affecting its service life. According to the use function, the service life of color coated steel plate can be divided into the following categories:
1) decorative service life refers to the defects such as subjective fading, pulverization, crazing and local peeling of coating on the surface of color steel plate. It has an impact on the image and beauty of the building, but it has not yet reached the degree that the large area of the coating loses its protective effect.
2) the service life of the coating repair refers to the service life of the color steel plate due to most of the defects such as delamination and rust spots on the surface, causing further corrosion of the base plate.
3) ultimate service life refers to the time when the color steel plate can not be used for a long time without repair until serious corrosion occurs.
From the perspective of the types of color plates commonly used in China and the normal use environment, the service life of color coated steel plates for construction can be generally as follows:
Decorative Service Life: 8-12 years;
Repair service life: 12-20 years;
Ultimate service life: more than 20 years.
